This past weekend, our Kirin Sports 2018/2019 team participated in the Greystone Cup 2026, marking an exciting milestone as the players competed in their first official 7v7 tournament.

Throughout the weekend, our players demonstrated outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Every match was an opportunity to learn, encourage one another, and grow together as a team. Watching the players communicate, support each other, and play with confidence made us incredibly proud.

The tournament also provided a fantastic opportunity to compete against strong opponents, including teams with players from some of New Jersey’s top clubs such as FA and Cedar Stars. The experience challenged our players and gave them valuable lessons that will help them continue developing both individually and as a team.

While our team finished third in a group of five teams, the result was only part of the story. The real success was seeing our young athletes embrace challenges, play with heart, and take another important step in their soccer journey.

Special Thanks

A heartfelt thank you to Coach Tom Bray for his dedication, leadership, and encouragement throughout the tournament. His positive coaching helped our players grow in confidence, and it’s no surprise that all of our kids love playing for Coach Tom.

Thank you as well to all of our players and families for your commitment, enthusiasm, and support throughout the weekend. Your energy on and off the field continues to make the Kirin Sports community so special.

This tournament was another important step in our journey, and we can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes next.

Go Kirin Sports! 💙⚽
